Tusshar Kapoor is an Indian actor and film producer who has been an active figure in the Hindi film industry since the early 2000s. Born on November 20, 1976, in Mumbai, India, he is the son of the legendary Bollywood star Jeetendra and film producer Shobha Kapoor. His sister, Ekta Kapoor, is one of India's most prominent television and film producers. Tusshar made his acting debut in 2001 with the blockbuster romantic drama Mujhse Kucch Kehna Hai alongside Kareena Kapoor, earning him the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He is best known for his iconic portrayal of the silent character Lucky in the blockbuster Golmaal comedy franchise directed by Rohit Shetty, a role that earned him widespread acclaim and commercial success. Over the years, he has demonstrated his acting range by appearing in acclaimed films like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Shor in the City, and The Dirty Picture. In 2020, Tusshar ventured into film production with the horror-comedy movie Laxmii, starring Akshay Kumar, under his banner Tusshar Entertainment House. In 2016, he made headlines by becoming one of the first single fathers in Bollywood to have a child, his son Laksshya, via gestational surrogacy.
