Deepika Prakash Padukone is an internationally acclaimed Indian actress, producer, and entrepreneur, recognized as one of the highest-paid and most influential figures in Indian cinema. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, to the legendary Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone and travel agent Ujjala Padukone, she was raised in Bengaluru, India. She initially pursued competitive badminton at the national level during her youth, but transitioned to fashion modeling in her late teens under the mentorship of Prasad Bidapa, eventually earning prominent television commercial features and modeling for the Kingfisher Calendar.

Padukone made her cinematic debut in the 2006 Kannada film 'Aishwarya' before achieving a major breakthrough in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's blockbuster melodrama 'Om Shanti Om' (2007), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
