Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian international cricketer who played in all formats of the game. An all-rounder who batted left-handed in the middle order and bowled slow left-arm orthodox, Yuvraj is widely regarded as one of India's greatest limited-overs cricketers. He was the architect of India's historic victories in the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, earning the Player of the Tournament award in the latter. Known for his aggressive batting style and exceptional fielding, he famously hit six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad during the 2007 World Twenty20. In 2011, Yuvraj was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left lung and underwent chemotherapy treatment in Boston and Indianapolis. He made a miraculous recovery and returned to international cricket in late 2012. Following his battle with cancer, he founded the YouWeCan charity to support cancer patients and raise awareness about the disease. Yuvraj announced his retirement from international cricket in 2019. Over his illustrious career, he represented various Indian Premier League franchises and was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2012 and the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2014.
