Samuel Harris Altman is an American entrepreneur and investor. He has been CEO of OpenAI since 2019. He was previously president of the startup accelerator Y Combinator from 2014 to 2019. Altman co-founded the location-based social networking app Loopt in 2005 while at Stanford University, which he later dropped out of. Born April 22, 1985 in Chicago, Illinois.
