Rahul Suresh Narwekar is an Indian lawyer, politician, and senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party serving as the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and representing the Colaba constituency in South Mumbai. Born into a political family in Mumbai, Narwekar practiced law before embarking on a career in state politics. He served as a spokesperson for Shiv Sena and later joined the Nationalist Congress Party, under which he contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Maval and was appointed to the Maharashtra Legislative Council in 2016. Ahead of the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, Narwekar joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and successfully won the Colaba seat.
