Jeetendra, born Ravi Kapoor on April 7, 1942, is a legendary Indian actor and producer best known for his prolific work in Hindi cinema. Spanning a career of over five decades, Jeetendra established himself as one of the most successful and versatile stars of Bollywood, acting in over 200 films as the lead protagonist. He earned the nickname 'Jumping Jack' from the media and fans due to his energetic and unique dancing style, which became a trademark in Indian cinema during the 1970s and 1980s. Jeetendra got his first major breakthrough with V. Shantaram's film Geet Gaya Patharon Ne in 1964, but it was the 1967 spy thriller Farz that catapulted him to superstardom.
