Dale Steyn is a legendary former South African cricketer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of the sport. Born in Phalaborwa, South Africa, Steyn dominated international cricket during his peak, particularly in the Test format. He held the number one spot in the ICC Test bowler rankings for a record 263 weeks between 2008 and 2014. Known for his extreme pace, capability to swing the ball both ways, and a fierce, competitive on-field aggression, Steyn became the leading wicket-taker for South Africa in Test cricket, surpassing Shaun Pollock's long-standing record in 2018. Over his illustrious career, he took 439 Test wickets at an extraordinary strike rate, along with 196 ODI wickets and 64 T20I wickets.
