Andrew Breitbart was an influential American conservative publisher, commentator, author, and media pioneer. He is best known as the founder of Breitbart News, a highly influential conservative news and opinion website that became a major force in American media and politics. Born in Los Angeles and adopted by conservative Jewish parents, Breitbart grew up in a liberal environment but transitioned to conservatism during his college years at Tulane University. He began his career in digital media during the mid-1990s, playing a critical role in the early development of The Drudge Report and later helping Arianna Huffington launch The Huffington Post in 2005. In 2007, he launched Breitbart.com as a news aggregator, which quickly expanded into a network of sites covering politics, Hollywood, and global news. Known for his aggressive and confrontational style, Breitbart sought to challenge what he perceived as mainstream media bias and was a key figure in the Tea Party movement.
