Amin Amir Ali Patel is an Indian politician and senior leader of the Indian National Congress who serves as a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing the Mumbadevi constituency in South Mumbai. Born in Mumbai, Patel began his public service career with the Congress youth wing in the late 1980s before taking on administrative roles within the party's regional organization. He served as a municipal corporator in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation from Nagpada and was appointed Chairman of the Maulana Azad Minorities Financial Development Corporation with State Minister status by the Government of Maharashtra. In 2009, Patel was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Mumbadevi constituency and successfully maintained an unbroken winning streak across four consecutive state assembly elections in 2009, 2014, 2019, and 2024. In the 2024 state elections, he secured victory over Shiv Sena candidate Shaina NC by a margin of more than 34,000 votes.
